The Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly is scheduled to hear public testimony on the appropriation of $34,999,563.45 in bonds to the Central Peninsula Hospital Capital Project Fund.
The funds will be used for the expansion of the Central Peninsula Hospital, which CEO Rick Davis outlines.
Davis: “That is our specialty clinics building and it will hold a spine center, a bunch of physician offices, imaging functions for the hospital, our infusion center, and the rest of the cancer center that we’ve been talking about for the last couple of years.”
Along with the appropriation of funds, the agenda shows a plan to introduce a resolution to authorize Borough Mayor Mike Navarre to award a construction bid of the Specialties building to a contractor.
