The Kenai Peninsula Borough is currently holding two excess land sales for properties across the peninsula.
Land Management Officer Marcus Mueller detailed those sales.
Mueller: “The Kenai Peninsula Borough has two public land sales going on that close on September 30, they’re both general land holdings, one is specific to the Widgeon Woods subdivision on Ciechanski, and so there’s a brochure that has information about all those lots in the Widgeon Woods subdivision. And then the general land sale has a variety of parcels from around the borough, there’s some bluff lots on K-Beach, there’s some lots in Homer, all around the peninsula we have a collection of land holdings that are offered for public sale by sealed bid.”
Mueller said the borough regularly has land sales to off load some of its unused lands.
Mueller: “The borough takes nominations for land sales, we have those forms available online, we’re always looking to see what people are interested in having the borough offer and every year we prepare the land sales, the assembly approves that by ordinance and then we put together a brochure and offer those up.”
