The Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly was faced with a resolution to support the State of Alaska in taking action on ocean acidification and climate change which was reconsidered and subsequently turned down.
The resolution was originally brought forward at the October 14 borough assembly meeting by South Peninsula assembly member Mako Haggerty and was passed however K-Beach member Kelly Wolf asked for reconsideration.
Haggerty spoke about the discussion that ensued when the resolution was reconsidered on October 28.
