Bristol Bay is currently seeing a salmon run that will likely top the average of the last five years according to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

Alaska Department of Fish and Game Bristol Bay area Biologist Chuck Brazil said the fishing season started off slow and the run came in later than anticipated.
Brazil said the run is moving toward the pace that they will have about a 30 million fish harvest and a 40 million in-shore run.
