The Kenai River Brown Bears open a two-weekend road swing in the Lower 48 before returning to Alaska and playing out the final seven weeks of the regular season. The extended home stand through February, March and early April will consist of 13 home games and a pair of games in Anchorage.
Kenai River plays the Chippewa Steel at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena on Friday and Saturday, February 4th and 5th and travels to play the Minnesota Magicians at the Richfield Ice Arena on February 11th and 12th. The next home stand for the Brown Bears begins February 18th with the Anchorage Wolverines coming to the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
Kenai River split a two-game series with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs downing the Dogs 5-3 on Friday, January 28th and dropping an 8-4 decision to Fairbanks on Saturday, January 29th.
