The Kenai River Brown Bears will take to the road in search of wins, as the Brown Bears close a 14-game home stand without a home victory, culminating with a three-game sweep by the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
The Brown Bear Junior A hockey team set records in futility at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex during the just completed home series. Kenai River’s current winless streak stands at 23 games with no home wins on the season at the SRSC and the Brown Bears lost all 14 games in the home stand; all program records.
Kenai River travels to New Jersey to open a month-long road trip on December 11th and 12th. Kenai River will return home on January 15th to the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
The Brown Bears are currently sixth in the six-team Midwest Division of the North American Hockey League with a 1-25-0 record; the Fairbanks Ice Dogs (20-4-2) lead the Midwest Division and lead the Ravn Alaska Cup 10-0 over the Brown Bears.
