The Kenai River Brown Bears travel to the Richfield Ice Arena to face-off against the Minnesota Magicians on Friday and Saturday in the final Lower 48 road weekend of the regular season for Kenai River. The Brown Bears return to Alaska to close out the regular season with 15 games in Alaska.
Kenai River dropped a pair of games to the Chippewa Steel last week with the Steel posting 4-1 and 2-1 victories over the Brown Bears.
Kenai River currently stands in eighth place in the eight-team Midwest Division of the NAHL with a record of 10-28-3-2 and 25 points. The Fairbanks Ice Dogs own first place in the Midwest Division with a record of 27-14-1-1 and 56 points. The Anchorage Wolverines stand in third place at 21-13-4-0- and 46 points. The top four teams advance to the Robertson Cup playoffs.
Kenai River opens a two-game, home series against the Anchorage Wolverines on February 18th at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
