The Brown Bears stand at 12-24-1-1 in the Midwest Division of the North American Hockey League, currently tied for sixth in the six team division with the Coulee Region Chill, both with 26 points. The fourth place Minnesota Magicians currently have 38 points.
The top four teams in the division advance to the playoffs in the NAHL.
Kenai River opens a four-game, two week road trip featuring single games against four Midwest opponents, not including the league leading Fairbanks Ice Dogs (28-5-3-2).
