The Kenai River Brown Bears, midway through the first extended home stand, will host the Springfield Jr. Blues in a three-game series running Friday – Sunday, November 11-13 a the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex. Friday and Saturday games are scheduled for 7:30 game times; Sunday’s puck drop is set for 5 p.m.
Kenai Brown Bears fell 2-1 to the Minnesota Wilderness on Saturday at the SRSC, allowing the game-winner midway through the second period. A scoreless third period was highlighted by 16 shots on goal by the Brown Bears; however, none found the net. For the game, Kenai River outshot the Wilderness 38 to 18 with Brown Bears goalie Bryant Marks turning away 16 of 18 shots in the defeat.
The Brown Bears drop to third in the Midwest Division, by a single point, with 25 points. Janesville and Fairbanks are tied at 26 points for first place.
