Brown Bears Face Wolverines On Road Ice In Anchorage

The Kenai River Brown Bears, following a home ice split with the Anchorage Wolverines at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, will travel to Anchorage for a pair of games against the newest Alaska member of the North American Hockey League, the Anchorage Wolverines, at the Ben Boeke Ice Arena.   Game times are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 12th-13th.

 

Recent Home Game Summary

Brown Bears 4 – Wolverines 1   Friday, November 5th

Kenai River built a 3-0 lead in the third period and recorded a 4-1 victory over the Anchorage Wolverines on Friday at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.

Wolverines 4 – Brown Bears 1   Saturday, November 6th

The Wolverines scored four, unanswered goals in a 4-1 victory over the Brown Bears.  Kenai River lead 1-0 after one period.

 

NAHL Standings

The Brown Bears currently stand in eighth in the eight-team Midwest Division of the NAHL with a 3-14 overall record.  The Wolverines own fourth in the league with a 10-5-1-0 record; the Fairbanks Ice Dogs lead the league with a 12-6-0-1 record.

The Brown Bears, Wolverines and Ice Dogs compete in The Club 49® Cup, a 3-team, in-season tournament to declare hockey supremacy in the 49th state.
