The Kenai River Brown Bears ended its season as it began back in September, with a pair of losses to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
The Brown Bears set team and NAHL records for losses in a season; as losses on Friday and Saturday put the Brown Bears total at 56 losses on the season and an overall record of 4-51-5 for the regular season.
Kenai River dropped a 4-1 decision on Friday night in Fairbanks and were shutout on Saturday at the Big Dipper Arena 6-0 by the Ice Dogs.
The Fairbanks Ice dogs, by contrast, are the top team in the Midwest Division with a 49-8-3 record and 101 points. The top four teams in the division now move on to the NAHL playoffs and the Robertson Cup.
