The Club 49 Cup Series continues with the Kenai River Brown Bears hosting the Anchorage Wolverines on Friday and Saturday, December 3rd and 4th at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex with game time s set for 7:30 p.m. for each contest. Alaska Airlines is providing rally towels for spectators each night.
The two-game home series closes-out the current Alaska series for the Brown Bears; Kenai River will return in mid-January to continue play in the Midwest Division of the NAHL. Taylor Shaw, Brown Bears interim head coach will be at the helm for Kenai River.
The Club 49 Cup Series, sponsored by Alaska Airlines, currently stands at; Fairbanks Ice Dogs-14 points; Anchorage Wolverines- 8 points and Kenai River- 2 points.
The Kenai River Brown Bears stand in eighth place in the eight-team Midwest Division of the NAHL with a record of 4-18-0-0. The Anchorage Wolverines are tied for fourth at 13-8-1-0 and the Fairbanks Ice Dogs led the division with a 16-8-0-1 record.
