Brown Bears Open First Home Series Against Wolverines On Friday

The Kenai River Brown Bears, following a pair of home ice losses to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, will host the newest Alaska member of the North American Hockey League, the Anchorage Wolverines, in a two-game series running Friday and Saturday, November 5th-6th at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.

 

The Brown Bears currently stand in eighth in the eight-team Midwest Division of the NAHL with a 2-13 overall record.  The Wolverines own third in the league with a 9-4-1-0 record; the Fairbanks Ice Dogs lead the league with a 11-4-0-1 record.

The Brown Bears, Wolverines and Ice Dogs compete in The Club 49® Cup, a 3-team, in-season tournament to declare hockey supremacy in the 49th state.
