Brown Bears Open Series On Home Ice

Home ice for the weekend and a remaining schedule featuring all games in Alaska; the Kenai River Brown Bears lock-in for a seven-week run in NAHL hockey.

 

The Kenai River Brown Bears face-off against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs on Friday and Saturday, February 17-18 at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.  Game times are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday will feature Jersey Auction Night with Brown Bears jerseys auctioned-off with the proceeds going to the Kenai Peninsula Boys and Girls Club, Kenai Peninsula Food Bank and the Brown Bears.  Saturday will be White Out Night, with free admission (according to Brown Bears facebook), and free t-shirts to the first 1,000 in attendance.

 

In the Club 49 Cup Standings, Kenai River still holds the third position with 7 points; the Anchorage Wolverines top the standings with 23 points and the Fairbanks Ice Dogs stand at 15 points.  Kenai River stands at 3-5 against the Wolverines and 0-4 against the Ice Dogs.
