Brown Bears Drop Series Opener 3-0 To Johnstown

The Kenai River Brown Bears opened a three-game series against the Johnstown Pennsylvania Tomahawks on Wednesday at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex shutout by the Tomahawks 3-0.

The Brown Bears and Tomahawks will continue the series on Friday and Saturday, October 7th and 8th with a scheduled 7:30 p.m. drop of the puck.

 

The Brown Bears currently stand at 0-6-1 in the early regular season coming off of a sweep at the hands of the NJ Titans.  The Johnstown Tomahawks, 7-1-0-1, continue their Alaska road swing following a victory and a shootout loss to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in Fairbanks last weekend.

Kenai River currently holds the last spot in the Midwest Division of the North American Hockey League with the Janesville Jets leading the league with a 7-1-0 record, followed by the Ice Dogs at 5-2-1-1.
