The Kenai River Brown Bears will skate on home ice at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex in a three-game, home-opening series against the Chippewa Steel with games scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, October 21-23; Kenai River will be the final team in the NAHL to play a conference game on home ice in 2021.
The Brown Bears currently stand at 1-9-0-0 in the Midwest Division of the North American Hockey League; last in the newly expanded, eight-team Midwest Division. The Brown Bears have managed only 16 goals through the first 10 games and have allow 49 goals.
The Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Anchorage Wolverines, the two other Midwest Division teams in Alaska, stand in 2nd and 4th, respectively: the Ice Dogs, 8-3-0-1, and the Wolverines, 7-4-1-0.
Soldotna Regional Sports Complex: Covid Protocol
Seating at the SRSC will be unrestricted, social distancing is encouraged, with the entire arena open for seating.
The City of Soldotna masking protocols are in effect and everyone inside of the arena will be required to wear a mask unless actively eating or drinking.

Advance tickets for the game are available at The Bears Den and day of game tickets are available at the door. Advance ticket prices at The Bears Den: $16 for adults; $12 for youth(5-12) and Seniors(60+); children 4 & under are free of charge with adult. Tickets at the gate are $20 for adults and $16 for youth and seniors.
Brown Bears vs Steel opens on Thursday night with a 7:00 p.m. puck drop. Friday and Saturday game times are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. starts.
