Brown Bears Shutout In NAHL Showcase Opener

Goals continue to be hard to come by for the 2021 Kenai River Brown Bears.

 

The Brown Bears opened play at the 18th annual North American Hockey League (NAHL) Showcase at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota on Wednesday and Kenai River was held scoreless by the New Mexico Ice Wolves in a 5-0 opening round loss.

New Mexico scored one goal in the first period, one in the second and three goals in the third period.  The Brown Bears managed only 20 shots on goal for the contest.

Kenai River drops to 0-3 on the regular season and the Brown Bears have scored only one goal while allowing 14 goals in three games.
