Brown Bears Travel To Face Ice Dogs

Home ice advantage for the Kenai River Brown Bears lasted only a weekend; however, Kenai River will head back on the road with a two-game win streak under their belts.

 

The Kenai River Brown Bears travel to Fairbanks to face the Midwest Division leading Ice Dogs with games on Friday and Saturday, January 28-29 at the Big Dipper Arena.

 

Kenai River, in a short three-game home stand, took the final two games against the Jansville Jets.  The Brown Bears won 6-4 and 4-2 , after losing the opening game of the series 4-1.

With the victories, Kenai River improves to 9-25-3-2 and 23 points in the Midwest Division standing.  The Brown Bears currently stand in eighth place in the eight-team Midwest Division.  The Fairbanks Ice Dogs remain in first place following a pair of losses to the Anchorage Wolverines.  Fairbanks owns a record of 25-12-1-1 and 52 points.  The Wolverines are currently third in the division at 21-12-3-0 and 45 points.
