The Kenai River Brown Bears open the 2018-19 Ravn Cup series against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in NAHL Junior A hockey with a three-game series at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.  The first three games in the series will be played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with 7:30 p.m. game times on Friday and Saturday and a 5 p.m. start on Sunday.

The Ravn Cup Series advantage is strongly in the Ice Dogs favor with Fairbanks holding a 42-123-4-4 advantage since 2007-2008 beginning of the series.  The Ice Dogs have won the Ravn Cup each year with the Brown Bear nearly stealing the cup in 2012-13 with an 8-8 head-to-head record.

Currently the Brown Bears stand at 9-10-0-1 and are in fifth place in the six-team Midwest Division of the NAHL.  The Ice Dogs have improved to 9-8-1-2 and stand in third in the Midwest Division standings.
