The Nikiski Bulldog boys fell victim to cold, second half shooting in the 4th Place game at the 3A Boys State Basketball tournament on Saturday; dropping a 58-34 decision to the Bethel Warriors. The Bulldogs finish 1-2 in the 3A state tournament.
Nikiski trailed 28-25 at the half and shot 55% in the first half. Nikiski shot only 17% in the second half and only 5% in the third quarter, making only four field goals in the second half. Luke Johnson and Hunter Holloway each scored 10 points for Nikiski.

March Madness Alaska, the state championships for high school basketball, crowned champions in the 3A and 4A divisions Saturday at the Alaska Airlines Center at UAA.
