Back-to-back-to-back tournament titles for the Nikiski volleyball program as the Bulldogs give notice to 3A volleyball with a sweep of the North/South Volleyball Tournament in Houston.
Nikiski played without a loss in Friday’s round-robin play. The Bulldogs beat Nome 15-11, Houston 15-0, Homer 15-13, ACS 15-11, the Palmer JV 15-9, Redington 15-8 and Seward 15-12.
As the #1 seed into Saturday’s round, Nikiski opened with a two-game sweep of Homer in a semifinal match-up 25-17 and 25-18. Nikiski defeated Redington 25-11 and 25-15 to advance to the championship game against Seward.
In the championship final, Nikiski rolled through Seward 25-12, 26-24 and 25-20. For the tournament the Bulldogs did not lose a single game.
