The holiday season heats-up on Thursday night at Kenai Central High School with the Kenai Kardinal basketball teams hosting Nikiski in non-conference basketball action.
Game times are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. for the girls varsity and 7:30 p.m. for the boys varsity.

Kardinals vs Bulldogs
The Kardinal girls are returning from four days of basketball in Kodiak including a Northern Lights Conference victory over the Kodiak Bears on Friday. The Kenai boys and both Nikiski teams are returning to the court for the first time since the opening week invitational tournaments. The Nikiski girls and the Kenai girls both finished 3-0 in the Kenai River Challenge in mid-December and will face each other for the first time. The Kenai boys and Bulldog boys played on opposite sides of the bracket at the SoHi Tip-off Tournament and will also face each other for the first time.
Other Basketball Action…
On Friday and Saturday, the Soldotna girls basketball team hosts the Kodiak Bears, with Northern Lights Conference games to be played at the Soldotna Prep School. Varsity games are scheduled for 6:00 p.m on Friday and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The SoHi boys travel to Kodiak for Northern Lights Conference games against the Bears on Friday and Saturday. Game time are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
