The Soldotna Stars traveled to Nikiski on Tuesday for non-conference basketball.
Nikiski Girls 54 – SoHi 45
The Bulldog girls pulled away from the SoHi girls in the second half for a 54-45 victory for Nikiski. The game was tied at 28 at the half, Nikiski gradually extended to a nine point lead. Nikiski’s Bethany Carstens lead all scorers with 33 points (Carstens’ second, 30+ performance of the year).
SoHi Boys 51 – Nikiski 31
The Soldotna boys used a 26-point, third quarter to pull away from the Bulldogs 51-31. Sam McElroy lead the Stars with 15 points.
The Nikiski basketball teams travel for Southcentral Conference games this weekend, facing Grace Christian on Friday and Houston on Saturday.
The SoHi girls travel to Juneau for a pair of non-conference games against the Crimson Bears.
