Burn Suspension Lifted For Kenai Peninsula

According to a release from the Department of Natural Resources, with moderating weather throughout the Kenai Peninsula, the burn suspension has been lifted. As of 8:00 a.m. on August 18, the suspension is no longer in effect.

 

All open burning, and other burning covered under the large and small burn permits is authorized. Please follow the safe burning platform outlined in the permit.

 

Permits can be obtained online and at local fire departments. For any assistance in obtaining a permit, or if you have any questions regarding burning, please call the Division of Forestry’s local office.
