Car Seat Check at CES Saturday

In 2014 602 children ages 12 years and younger died as occupants of motor vehicle crashes, while more than 121,000 were injured according to the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. The CDC says correctly buckling children in age- and size-appropriate car seats, booster seats, and seat belts reduces the risk of serious and fatal injuries.

 

This Saturday, November 12, Central Emergency Services in Soldotna will host a Car Seat Checkup Event from 1-3 pm.

Chief Tucker: “Probably the most common mistake is the seat’s put in too loosely. They really need to be tightened down. The adjustments on the car seats themselves to properly fit children. Those are the things that are most commonly found.”

 

The event at CES from 1-3 pm this Saturday is free and no reservations are required.
