Competing in an international powerlifting event, the 2015 Arnold Sports Festival USA Powerlifting Championships in Columbus, Ohio; Cipriana Castellano set new international records in the three-lift total and in the squat and deadlift individual lifts. Castellano just missed the world-best in the bench press.
Cipriana Castellano competed in the Under 19, under 158 lb. division, after breaking all Alaska and USA records in the Under 19, 185 lb. division.
Castellano recorded a record 347 pounds in the squat; 187 pounds in the bench press, and 385 pounds in the dead lift. Her combined total of 919 pounds is a new age-weight class, world record.
The International Powerlifting Association Raw Classic will be Castellano’s next competition; scheduled for June in Finland. Castellano will compete in the 185 pound division, with the opportunity set set world records in the higher weight class.
