Allie Ostrander, freshman at Boise State and KCHS graduate, sets course record Friday at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational cross-country meet in Madison, Wisconsin.

Ostrander beat two NCAA champions and shattered the course record held by seven-time NCAA champion Abbey D’Agostino, who ran for Dartmouth and turned pro in 2014.

She completed the 6-kilometer race in 19 minutes, 19 seconds, to shave 12 seconds off D’Agostino’s record, set in 2013.

“I didn’t expect this at all,” Ostrander said in a press release from Boise State.
