Central Emergency Services and Soldotna Police Department responded to a call around 8 pm Monday evening of a man in the Kenai River near the Soldotna Kenai River Bridge.
CES deployed than inflatable boat into the river, paddling out to retrieve the man from the island just past the bridge.
Neither CES or Soldotna Police have details as to why the man was in the water.
CES checked him for injuries and released the investigation to SPD.
