CH2M HILL Pauses Work for Safety

Author: KSRM News Desk |

Multiple CH2M Hill employees reported last week that crews on the north slope had been shut down due to safety issues.

KSRM contacted CH2M Hill’s corporate offices who confirmed BP and CH2M Hill had cooperated with each other to close down portions of work and issued the following statement.

“Last week CH2M HILL stood down some portions of our work on the North Slope to focus on safety awareness.  It is not unusual for us to take time out of our work to ensure we are doing all we can to make our work environments as safe as possible for our employees.  All our employees back to work.”

CH2M Hill would not comment on record if any particular incident spurred the shut down.

The company did however mention a renewed interest in the Kenai area and indicated more details would be provided in the coming weeks.
