Chamber Luncheon to Address Generation Gap

Author: KSRM News Desk |

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will address a new challenge businesses are facing: four generations working together in the work force.

Chamber Executive Director Michelle Glaves said this is the first time in history where it’s possible for that many generations to work together.

Glaves: “Just because baby-boomers is such a large piece and the segment of people that are older than baby boomers are still in the work force so we now have four generations in the work force and we all have different values and what we think is important so gone is the day when the boss said so and that’s the way it was and so we’re just going to go over all the differences in the different generations in the work force, how to manage different generations in the work force and to work with different generations.”

To RSVP for lunch, call the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce at 262-9814 by 5 pm this evening.
