Chugach Electric Association will hold a community meeting in Cooper Landing to update the community on various topics, including reliability work and vegetation management. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

Julie Hasquet, Chugach Electric Association Sr. Manager for corporate communications, says they will discuss easement clearings and update folks on Chugach business, such as high-profile issues like gas supply.

“What we try to do is get down to Cooper Landing and include the Moose Pass residents at least once a year to update the communities on the reliability work that we’ve been doing down there the past few years. They’re part of our service territory and it’s important that they know what’s going on at Chugach and just giving them a chance to talk to us in person and answer questions.” Hasquet said.

Chugach Electric’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and other board members will attend the meeting.

“It’s open to anybody who’s in the area, Chugach member or not, and just to hear what’s going on in the communities and with Chugach.” Says Hasquet.

The community meeting will be held at Cooper Landing Community Club on Tuesday, April 29, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Folks who can’t attend the meeting in person can participate via teleconference at (844)252-4224. The participant code is 7624404#.
