Chugiak Battles To State Hockey Championship

The ASAA 4A State Hockey Championships, hosted at the Menard Arena in Wasilla, crowned Chugiak as the 2017 champions following a 3-0 shutout of South Anchorage on Saturday.

Chugiak 3 – South 0

The Mustangs Andrew Beck recorded two goals and an assist for Chugiak as the Mustangs won their first state hockey championship since 2000.

Colony 4 – Eagle River 3  OT

Colony’s Cooper Smith scored just  1 minute, 56 seconds into overtime to secure the Knights victory over Eagle River in the third place game. and third place.  Joey Diltz recorded 22 saves for Colony.
