The co-ed soccer season closed on the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles on Saturday with a 2-0 loss to Tri-Valley at the Borealis Conference Soccer Tournament in Palmer, the season-ending event for fall soccer.
Tournament Final Results:
CIA falls to Tri-Valley 2-0 in the fifth-place game, the only game in which CIA was held without a goal.
On Friday in the semi-final, Cook Inlet dropped a 2-1 decision in overtime to the eventual Borealis Conference champion Su-Valley. Linnaea Dohse scored in the second half to tie the game; Su-Valley netted the game-winner in the second overtime.
Saturday, Su-Valley topped Delta in the championship game 2-1, a repeat of the 2018 championship.
