The Cook Inlet Academy Eagles co-ed soccer team finished third overall at the 2015 Aurora Conference Soccer Tournament, held at Healy over the weekend.
The Eagles, champions of the Aurora Conference for the past four consecutive years, fell to Delta on Friday 3-1 to move to the third place contest. CIA downed Su Valley in the third place contest, breaking a 2-2 tie, scoring three penalty kicks to two penalty kicks for Su Valley. The Eagles also recorded victories over Tri-Valley 9-1, and Lumen Christi 2-0.
Delta won the championship game 3-0 over Holy Rosary Academy. The Eagles were the reigning four-time Aurora Conference Champions with conference titles in 2011,2012,2013 and 2014. The Eagles won the Sportsmanship Award for the tournament.
