The longest, consecutive wins streak in high school fall soccer ended on Thursday with the Cook Inlet Academy Eagles co-ed soccer team suffering its first loss since 2012 in Aurora Borealis Conference soccer play. The Eagles fell to Delta 6-0.
CIA’s win streak dated back to a 21-1-2 season in 2012. The Eagles went unbeaten in 2013 (21-0) and 2014 (22-0).
The Eagles and Delta have dominated fall soccer; the two programs have meet for the past two Aurora Borealis Conference championships with CIA winning each championship.
The Eagles also fell 1-0 on Saturday against Holy Rosary Academy.
CIA will host Tri-Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27th at the Kenai Soccer Complex.
