The crew has removed the line and restored power to 1,658 Members. Approximately 342 Members are still without power. We appreciate your patience and are working hard to get the lights back on for the remainder of our members that have been impacted by this outage.

We have dispatched 6 lineman to patrol the line. The cause of the outage is a tree on the line. Crews are currently isolating the impacted line which will allow the linemen to remove the tree, test the line and then reenergize. We are not expecting lengthy outage. Thank you for your patience.

At 8:40 a.m. Wednesday morning, Homer Electric Association reported a large power outage in the Kenai area with 2,000 members without power.
Cause is unknown and crews are responding.
