Its graduation week for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. Each day this week, schools will celebrate the graduation of the class of 2022. Individual school graduations are organized by school, location, date, and times on the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District’s website.
KPBSD Superintendent Clayton Holland told KSRM:
“To see this year’s lineup of graduation dates and times by school, look for the news story on our home page. Graduations are (this week). Every evening during that week, there are different graduations across the district. Congratulations to those folks. I can’t wait for those graduations. A capstone celebration is not just important to those families, but to our staff as well, just to see the accumulation of all the work that’s gone into the students and what they’ve done.”

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District set graduation requirements to ensure each high school graduate is exposed to the depth and variety of learning experiences necessary for present and future social and economic goals. The requirements are to be specific to direct students into major curricular areas and flexible enough to provide for individual student’s abilities and needs. The District states that completing these requirements are viewed as a minimal educational experience to be enriched through the selection of additional courses.
The KPBSD aims to ensure that all students graduate from high school ready for adult life, college and/or career.
