Companies and projects working to address climate change will present investment pitches to the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation.
The White House is calling for greater private sector commitments in addressing climate change issues and includes a consortium of long-range investors.
Corporation acting CEO Valerie Mertz says board member are willing to listen to investment opportunities up to the tune of $200million.
She says if investments are in line with projected portfolio goals, return requirements, and other binding restrictions, it is possible the corporation may invest more but they may also not invest in any project.
A White House fact sheet states an intermediary would be responsible for identifying and screening companies and projects for potential investment.
