If it is not enough that Colony High School, from the Mat-Su valley and not the Kenai Peninsula, dominated the field and won the 2017 Peninsula Duals; then add in that the Colony JV unit finished third in the dual match format.
The Knights downed Homer in the championship pairing on Saturday at Nikiski High School winning 11 of 15 individual matches.
The Soldotna Stars fell to the Colony JV in the third place dual; SoHi recording five match victories.
For the tournament, undefeated central peninsula wrestlers included:
SoHi: Gideon Hutchison, 5-0 at 120 and 126 pounds; Bechler Metcalf, 5-0 at 152 pounds; Breaden Tennis, 2-0 at 160 pounds
