The comment period on the proposed plans for a K-Beach water drainage conveyance structure closes at 4:30 pm tomorrow.
The Kenai Peninsula Borough obtained a short comment period through the Department of Natural Resources on the plans submitted by the non-profit, K-Beach Flood Mitigation Project.
That plan aims to transport in excess of 1,000,000 gallons of water per day over two miles in order to assist with the flooding problems which has plagued the area since the 2013 K-Beach Flood disaster.
Those interested in learning more can access the projects documents on the Kenai Peninsula Borough’s main website or through the Borough Clerk’s Office between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Comments must be submitted either in person or via email to [email protected] by 4:30 pm April 1 as the borough must submit those to DNR by the end of business hours on Thursday, April 2.
