Wrestling teams on the Kenai Peninsula prepare for the upcoming tournament season with the Northern Lights Conference and Kachemak Conference tournaments scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 9th and 10th.
Northern Lights Conference Wrestling Tournament
The Kenai Kardinals and Soldotna Stars will compete for individual weight-class championships, team titles, and state berths at the 2016 NLC wrestling tournament hosted at Kenai Central High School.
The Northern Lights Conference includes Kenai, SoHi, Colony, Wasilla, Palmer, and Kodiak. The top five wrestlers in each of the 15 weight classes will advance to the ASAA 4A State Wrestling Championships.

Kachemak Conference Wrestling Tournament
The Nikiski Bulldogs and Homer Mariners will compete for individual weight-class championships, team titles, and state berths at the 2016 Kachemak Conference wrestling tournament hosted at Anchorage Christian School.
The Kachemak Conference includes reigning conference champion and reigning 1-2-3A state champion Homer High School, Nikiski, Seward, ACS, Grace, Houston, Cordova, and the small schools of the Kenai Peninsula. The top four wrestlers in each of the 15 weight classes will advance to the ASAA 1-2-3A State Wrestling Championships.
