The Cook Inlet Regional Citizens Advisory Council has promoted environmentally safe marine transportation and oil facility operations for 25 years.
The Coastal Impressions exhibit at the Kenai Visitor’s Center celebrates that accomplishment.
Kenai Chamber of Commerce President Johna Beech said Cook Inlet RCAC Director of Public Outreach Lynda Giguere will present to the chamber luncheon this week.
Beech: “They just put out their annual report and she’ll be talking about 25 years ago, what they’ve done in the last 25 years, what their plan is moving forward and also giving an update on their annual report.”
The Cook Inlet RCAC was created by the U.S. Congress after the Exxon Valdez oil spill and is made up 13 members from Anchorage, Kenai, Homer, Seldovia, and Kodiak.
That lunch will begin at noon in the Kenai Visitor’s Center and those interested in attending can RSVP at 283-1991.
