What began as a motor vehicle collision in Clam Gulch Tuesday night, ended in a fugitive flight through Soldotna Wednesday morning.

Soldotna State Troopers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at Mile 115 of the Sterling Highway. The accident involved two vehicles, a 2017 Audi Q7, and a 2016 Coachman Freelander Motorhome.

The Audi was driven by Krystof Milos, 39, of Anchorage. Milos was accompanied by a passenger, 24-year-old Kiana Hicks-Patrick, who is from Anchorage as well.

Investigation revealed Milos pulled off Tolum Drive onto the Sterling Highway without stopping at the stop sign. Milos pulled out in front of the motorhome, which struck his Audi on the driver side, resulting in both vehicles leaving the roadway.

In total, there were 6 people in the motorhome. One occupant was transported to Central Peninsula Hospital, and ultimately life flighted to Providence in Anchorage for life threatening injuries.

Hicks-Patrick was also transported to Central Peninsula Hospital, where after receiving treatment, she fled the facility to avoid being arrested on an outstanding warrant for violating conditions of release. Her original charges were DUI/Assault 3. Troopers ultimately located Hicks-Patrick in the Soldotna area where she was arrested on her outstanding warrant, as well as a new charge of violating conditions of release for consuming alcohol.

Further investigation resulted in the driver of the Audi, Milos, being arrested for DUI and additional charges of six counts of Assault 3 and one count of Assault 1.

Both Hicks-Patrick and Milos were remanded to Wildwood Pretrial Facility where they were each held without bail pending arraignment.
