Alaska State Troopers responded to the report of vehicle occupants using narcotics in Anchor Point on April 25.
The driver was identified as 20 year-old Dylan Hargett-Rautio and the passenger was identified as 32 year-old Alexander Napier, both from Homer.
Investigation revealed Napier was in possession of a handgun and officers observed there was heroin in the vehicle upon contact.
He was also found to be a convicted felon, therefore he was arrested for violating his conditions of release and misconduct involving a weapon in the third degree as his criminal record prohibited posession of a gun.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, Hargett-Rautio was in possession of heroin on his person along with the heroin which was in plain view.
Court papers showed Hargett-Rautio as Napier’s court approved third party custodian and was in violation of his duties based on circumstances.
He was arrested for misconduct involving controlled substances in the fourth degree and violating his custodial duties.
Both were transported to Homer Jail and held without bail.
