Numbers continue to climb for Alaskans that are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. The state Department of Health and Social Services said that 158,064 Alaskans have been fully vaccinated with both doses of the COVID-19 shot, which equates to about 21.3% of the state’s population. For those who have received at least one shot, 229,779 have received at least one dose, which is roughly 30.8% of the state’s population. There have been a total of 388,197 doses administered.
Across the Kenai Peninsula, 11,261 residents have been fully vaccinated with both doses of the COVID-19 shot. For those who have received at least one shot, 15,997 residents across the Peninsula received at least one dose. The DHSS reports that there have been a total of 27,031 doses of the vaccine administered across the Peninsula so far.
