The Central Peninsula Hospital is reaching out to local artists with the aim of creating a uniquely Alaskan healing environment in their new River Tower Specialty Clinics Building.

CPH Marketing Manager Camille Sorenson says artists can submit their work to the hospital’s website for consideration.

Sorenson: “We’re looking for a variety of artwork in different mediums, photography, painting, sculpture, fiber arts, to help create a more welcoming healing environment in our newest addition, The River Tower, that opened a couple months ago.”

She says the majority of the artwork accepted will be hung in the reception and waiting areas of the three-story building.

The hospital will choose from artwork submitted and also commission some artists to create larger pieces.

Sorenson: “Definitely Alaska themed with a preference for Kenai Peninsula specific themes.”

Completed applications must be submitted on or before Monday, May 23, 2016 at 5:00 pm.
