The 2016 Tri the Kenai Triathlon featured races in the sprint, intermediate, youth and relay divisions and attracted 222 participants to the start at Skyview Middle School on Sunday.
The triathlon featured three segments: swim, bike and run.
Sprint Division: 500 yd swim, 10-mile bike, 5K run
Mike Crawford of Kenai posted the fastest combined time in the men’s sprint division. Crawford pulled away with a 20:25 in the 5K run for a total time of 58:21.
Jenny Kimball of Anchorage posted a 1:02:09 for the women’s sprint title
Intermediate Division: 1,000 yd swim, 20-mile bike, 10K run
Jason Lamoreaux of Anchorage wins men’s event in combined time of 1:48:49
Jenifer Kohout of Anchorage wins women’s event in 2:12:57.
