The deadline for submitting proposed changes to regulations related to hunting, trapping, and the use of game for the Central/Southwest Region, Statewide Provisions, and other topics is Friday, May 28, 2021. Proposals received by the proposal deadline and meeting the specific criteria will be considered by the Board of Game at the Central/Southwest Meeting scheduled for January 2022, and the Statewide Regulations Meeting scheduled for March 2022.  Final proposals will be available for the public on the board’s website by September 2021.

Proposals previously published for the 2021 Central/Southwest Region and Statewide Regulations meetings, and those approved as agenda change requests, will be retained and scheduled for board action at the 2022 meetings. Submitters of previously published proposals may modify and update their proposals by submitting new proposals and providing a written explanation in the justification statement.

Details on the specific regulatory topics and the process for properly submitting proposals can be found on the Call for Proposals or by contacting ADF&G Boards Support Section at 907-465-4046. For additional information, notices for upcoming Board of Game meetings, proposed regulatory changes, and other announcements, visit www.boardofgame.adfg.alaska.gov.
