Sunday October 4 is the deadline for new voter registration and to update your registration information, according to the Alaska Division of Elections.
Necessary information, including applying for an absentee ballot, can be found at www.elections.alaska.gov.
The offices are open today from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. for registration today. The offices are also open tomorrow from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. for registration.
Upcoming dates you need to know include Tuesday October 6 which is the deadline for by-mail ballots to be postmarked. Also that day is REAA Election Day. Polls open from 8am to 8pm. Absentee ballots are being put out ahead of schedule. You can request yours now at www.elections.alaska.gov. The first mailings are scheduled to go out through Monday October 5.
