The deadline for the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend Pick, Click, Give donations is today, along with the last chance to edit direct deposit information.
Jack Sinclair, Executive Director of the Kenai Watershed Forum…
Sinclair: “It aids us in a great way. We have many programs that benefit from the Pick, Click, Give program here. Much of that money goes toward helping our summer camp, which reaches many, many kids in the community. Also, our Adopt-A-Stream program is in great need of funding, too. So we do have to use some of our funds that we don’t get from other grants and other ways of donations to use for those kind of programs.”
The Kenai Watershed Forum is only one of many organizations on the Kenai Peninsula in which the Pick, Click, Give program benefits. There is also the Lee Shore Center and Challenger Learning Center in Kenai, United Way, and the Boys and Girls Club. The easiest way to make changes to a donation is by logging in to myAlaska.
Sinclair: “Follow the links to amend your application to do Pick, Click, Give and that’s where you can pick from an assortment of different non-profits throughout the state of Alaska and so Kenai Watershed Forum will come up right after you put Kenai in, usually, and then you just select anywhere from $25 on to be taken from permanent fund that’s been selected.”
Today is also the last day to edit any information regarding direct deposit of the PFD when it is distributed in October, and that can be done by logging in to myAlaska, as well.
